In this photo, a woman experiences the manifestations of mounting psychological trauma and stress as a result of domestic violence. As she holds her head between two hands, her expression conveys the anguish inflicted by violence and a loss of control over her life. Though experiencing emotional turmoil, her bracelet ties her to a reminder of strength and resilience.
