The need for this institutional mechanism is to help turn gender equality commitments into practical action by creating opportunities for young women to participate in leadership, decision making and policy processes. It would build future leaders through mentorship, training and networks while addressing barriers such as discrimination and exclusion. By providing resources, promoting inclusion and strengthening accountability, the council would amplify young women's voices and support the implementation of gender equality laws.
