Background
Azadi Community is a value-based, survivor-led organization that focuses on the provision of long-term support for survivors of trafficking who, too often, find a lack of community support and understanding when re-integrating into society, ensuring their experience with trafficking. We run several programs that enhance the agency of survivors of trafficking, support recovery from trauma, and sustain their reintegration into society. We are doing this through the operation of a Resource Center where survivors receive vocational and soft skills training for empowerment, gain valuable skills, and give all they have to become leaders of their communities. Our programs also focus on aspects such as the mental health, leadership, and development of the survivors, giving them the tools they require to thrive. Azadi is launching a Volunteer Therapist Network to provide pro bono mental health services to survivors within Azadi Community. This initiative reflects our commitment to accessible care and the co-creation of trauma-responsive ecosystems for healing and empowerment. We are therefore inviting licensed, trauma-informed therapists to express interest in joining our referral pool and providing pro bono sessions to survivors who are otherwise unable to access individualized therapy. By volunteering your expertise, you will be part of a transformative mental health movement that integrates clinical rigor with community-led resilience building.
